My wife was in Baton Rouge and upon the recommendation of the SE Louisiana Beer Group I asked her to drop by here to pick up some single cans of beer for me. She informed me that that they had three different IPA's from Equilibrium Brewery for $7.99 each. She purchased one of each. When she got home I checked the canning dates and they were all April...of 2019! Will not shop or recommend a place that sells year-old IPA's, especially at $8. Caveat Emptor, I guess.

A family owned grocery store with a fine selection of wine to homemade sausages. Very clean store with checkout counters with the cleanest conveyor belts in town! That sounds like a minor thing, but until you know what a clean conveyor belt looks like, you cannot appreciate it. Very friendly & helpful staff. They have recently reorganized the store, so their help with finding what you are looking for makes shopping there a pleasure.
Have shopped at Calandro’s for years. And in fact pass up two other grocery stores in order to shop at Calandro’s! The employees are always more than willing to help me find whatever I need. I especially like their meat department and the delicious homemade Italian and green onion sausages their butcher makes! Their king cakes are so popular during Marci gras that they have been known to sell out!
