had my home under contract with them for 3 months, day before closing they tell me I don't score for the loan and I have to file my last years return and pay an additional $95, 000, the day before I have to close for my house. They are the worst!!
Just did a Heloc with cake mortgage a month ago I know my payment is due this month which is me. I haven’t received any physical bill. I’m calling them. No answer. It goes straight to voicemail. I left a message for them. No call back.
DO NOT WORK WITH CAKE MORTGAGE! Cake issued a clear to close and closing docs 3 days from my closing. Then, the underwriter called back several of the approved documents from my loan, stating that he "cleared them to keep the file moving and that they are actually not approved / cleared at this point in time". He then sent over a totally new set of requests that pushed our transaction OUT OF CONTRACT, eventually leading to the loss of my earnest money deposit.
