My [now] wife and I had been going over many bakeries looking for a cake. A co worker mentioned for their wedding just earlier this year, they had come to Cake-aholics. So we decided to try them out. The frosting is very good, not too sweet. I really like the raspberry vanilla cake!
I called in asking for a key lime flavored cake, i was told they couldn't do a cake but could do key lime flavor cupcakes so instead of driving to Dallas to a shop that said they had it available i came here ... When i picked up the cupcakes it was a vanilla flavored cupcake with a key lime favored icing. NOT what i asked for... And honestly feel like my money was stolen.
This year I wasn't able to make my own birthday cake due to time restraints. Matthew listens to your design vision and executes it flawlessly! My favorite cake flavor of his is snickerdoodle, but all the flavors I tried during the tasting were incredible. I love that he uses Italian meringue buttercream because it lightens the cake up so that you don’t have the heavy sweetness of traditional buttercream.
