This is the kind of bank branch that amplifies everything bad Desjardins has to offer. The staff don’t care about clients at all - they’re undertrained and unprepared to deal with people. A simple account unlock for security reasons took 1 hour at the branch to solve, which is completely unacceptable. Fortunately, Wealthsimple exists, so we only keep the minimum necessary services with Desjardins. The only good experience was the branch manager offering a coffee when the branch was opening.
Today, when I was withdrawing money from the ATM, I saw a homeless sleeping next to the ATM. It was not a pleasant experience at all given the fact that the room smelled very bad and I was thinking about my safety.
