It has been a horrible experience having a mortgage with this organization as they provide no proper customer service. We are in the process of switching our mortgage to another bank. We were told that the penalty fee would be a lower amount and finally during the closing they charge us $6k more for the penalty with no explanation.
We asked for information on what our penalties would be on closing for breaking the contract and was advised *in writing* by Krystle Sénécal that it would be the “balance of the mortgage, plus the discharge fee of $200.00 as well as the fee for breaking the term early of $2 809.87.” However, on closing, the statement showed 3 months interest, which was much higher. When they created their new system, they deleted years worth of banking records. I am stepping into a custody battle, and this bank is unwilling to give me access to my financial history to prove I am a good father that pays his child support. I have requested it and been given the runaround for months now. The unprofessionalism is astounding.
