I'll be honest i was bit skeptical when i went to do my placement at cadorna as a carer because other fellow students had told me about the review left by previous student who did their placement, it didn't sound very good HOWEVER in my experience it was totally opposite every single staff were very nice and friendly. I was able to get lots of hands-on experience and learned a lot about how it works. All the staff were very patient while training and explained every procedure in detail. Based off the data from the Apple devices I supplied my mother; a 72 year old lady with Multiple Systems Atrophy. Her physical health, breathing, sleeping, (and I believe) mental health has deteriorated during the respite option made available through Carer Gateway. I am unsure why Cadorna House would ban her full time carer without explanation. No one from Cadorna has been in touch regarding this or my mother’s physical activity schedules, mental health plan, or affiliated services during this period of respite in addition ... read more

Not a good place for students to do their placements. I started my placement at cadorna house on Monday. But it didn't go well as I expected. The registered nurse she works in evening shift she doesn't know how to speak with someone. Furthermore, I was there to do my placements. ( RN) She wanted me to clean their toilets and also wanted me to take the all rubbish bins out. She is Very disrespectful and unprofessional nurse. I am very disappointed. At least they should have refund my hard earned money(250 dollars).
