This is a great option to get to and from the summit! We hiked up the south trail at 3am (3.5 miles but felt like 6😅) let’s just say the hike matched with the cold windy weather on the summit had us determined to catch a ride back to our vehicle. The gift shop clerk provided us with the contact info for this shuttle service. They made a separate trip back up and were able to drop us off back at the trail head. Absolutely worth it! The sunrise is beyond stunning. My photos look completely fake they are so stunning. It was quite breathtaking. Also, the shuttle arrived exactly on time, were organized, and I didn't expect the owner/driver to tell us about the history of the area. It was fascinating and fun to learn about. Worth getting up super early, worth every penny. She even had some blankets on board, which made the experience even better than I expected. As a locally owned, woman owned business, Cadillac Mountain Summit Shuttle is an outstanding way to enjoy the summit with zero hassle (no trying to get NPS reservations, no circling to park). Ellen makes the drive up and down fun and informative. A quick text to her got us picked up at the visitor center which was much more convenient to park at in our campervan and let us grab a bus into Bar Harbor after we enjoyed the mountain.
