We have been banking with BancorpSouth since 1977. Recently we learned that if you have a savings account with them and do not make a deposit every 60 days, it is considered “inactive” and they will charge you a $5/month fee! We have had a savings account for our daughter that we have just let sit until she needs it, but BancorpSouth has taken money from her account. That is ridiculous! We are closing all our accounts both checking and savings and moving to Regions!

I should have been warned about BancorpSouth from an earlier disastrous experience (with appalling service from a BancorpSouth administrator), but a family member recommended them so we tried them again. Mistake. Today was strike 2. With not one other customer in the bank, a certain teller wouldn’t count my son’s tip-change for a deposit.
