I took my children out of Bright and Early in Middlebury, CT at the end of January and moved them to Cadence because of the before and after care program with bus service from Longmeadow Elementary. When I met the interim director I was so hopeful this was going to be a great place for my children. My kids have went to The Nest/ Cadence since they were 6 months old. There have been some changes made since the center was taken over, but those have not affected our family specifically. The teachers care tremendously about the children and I especially love Mrs. Liana and Mrs. Cipriano. They are bright lights in our day and welcome us with a huge smile, a loving heart, and they treat my kids as if they are their own. My daughter currently goes here and I 100% recommend people to stay away. Corporate took over what was once a beautiful safe environment, and turned it into a chaotic environment. They are under staffed, not caring for their families, and rarely communicate about what’s going on. If you arrive a minute past 9, you get dirty looks, or you aren’t allowed to drop your child off. Kind of crazy to me. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Edit- Some time after this review we became disenchanted with Cadence. An arbitrary and unofficial attendance policy was put into place where they threaten not to accept our children at the door if we arrive past 9am (even 9:05). And you can bet we will still have to pay for the day on top of now missing work or paying for additional child care. Emails go unanswered. Staff is departing at a rate we've not seen in our 5 years there. It's disappointing because we are generally very happy with the teachers. We have stopped reco... read more
