The two Front desk staff are rude and it Gives the school a bad reputation. In response to the “owner’s” reply below: it’s no need to contact the office, I wouldn’t even send my dog there after the experience. It left a bad impression. Also I wouldn’t want my 4.5 year old taking naps at 3pm when school ends at 5:30pm.
Being a working mom is hard. Having to leave your most prized possession with somebody else everyday is HARD. But today just like every other day for the last 2 years I was so grateful to walk into a center that I can tell genuinely loves and cares for my child while she is in their care. Disappointed. My granddaughter attended this daycare. The times I would pick up or drop off my granddaughter, the only greeting came from the front desk staff. When I entered her classroom, I got nary a glance. There were so many children , that at times I couldn't find my grand to get her ready to go home. They appeared cold and aloof. No smiles, no joy. I am not sure her teachers enjoy teaching. Attitudes (good or bad) of adults make an impression on young minds. Disappointed.
I should preface this review by mentioning that my child is no longer enrolled. My child was enrolled in another, highly rated, daycare in the Dover area from 2020-22. At this daycare she was cared for with loving heart and open arms and was treated as family from the moment we first toured the facility. Due to my wife’s employment further north, we had to move her to a different daycare. Sadly, this was NOT the experience for us or our child at Cadence Academy in Smyrna. The teachers and staff are wonderful, engaging, and nurturing. Both my children have attended the school since they turned 1, and we wouldn't choose to send them anywhere else. My oldest child just started Kindergarten this year in the Spanish immersion program at N. Smyrna, and he was beyond ready thanks to his time at Cadence. I cannot recommend a better early learning environment.
