Cactus Valley is actually what is pictured on the brochure. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The staff are AVAILABLE, ATTENTIVE, and are truly there for the residents. The community is large enough to feel open and spacious, but small enough to have that cozy, home, secure feel. The facilities are clean and smell lovely. The ambient vibes are welcoming. Five stars to the wonderful facility and friendly staff and a wide variety of activities to keep the residents there active and engaged. Our parents love everything listed above and we are grateful. The two stars off is for their mandatory rule of wearing red on Fridays. As far as we understand, it might have been started by some residents there as a nice gesture to honor our military and veterans that could be participated voluntarily by residents. After checking out several retirement facilities for our 86 year old mom we discovered that nothing could compare to Cactus Valley. Our consultant Shirell was so kind in explaining every detail about the facility to my mom. This place is wonderful & includes a movie theater, top notch entertainment, a variety of classes & the food options are wonderful.
