They are ok. Kind people who seem to want to help. Unfortunately help came too little too late for my situation in a toxic workplace and hostile environment. I called repeatedly and emailed. Callbacks often didn't come for days in end after the fact and sometimes didn't come at all. I was left in my own to navigate my situation and the aftermath. Not the Union of old. Leadership fancies themselves politicians, remaining ineffectual for union members. The staff don't return calls or e-mails (however the President returned my e-mail, only to incorrectly label and dismiss me in a political pontification shrouded in low-key disses). Any benefit gained by the union is typically felt by all, even if it's only a miniscule benefit every time.
