Update: they cancelled these without warning mid semester. Apparently they're closing the location, so I guess it's moot, but I'd caution anyone against purchasing from any C2 location. Old review: My little brother appreciated this place, and I appreciate that when central instituted sunset provisions on the hours we purchased, they went to the trouble of getting him an extension since he expects to use them again when he starts at BCC soon.

"I urge families, do NOT make the mistake of choosing C2 Education! My experience with them has been nothing short of appalling. Ever since Simon, the Center Director at C2 Education, Berkeley abruptly left in December 2018, the entire operation has gone downhill. I, along with my oldest and middle child, had a positive experiencewith Simon, which led me to purchase an additional 100 hours of tutoring in the hopes that my youngest child could benefit as well. So, the new owners of C2 corporate seems to be doing something shady these days. The goal is to reduce liabilities, and old student hours are seen as a liability. From what I heard, it started with getting parents to sign new contracts under the auspices of "renewal" or something like that. These new contracts, unlike the old ones, set expiration dates for hours. Pretty awful for the poor CDs tasked with persuading parents with whom they had developed personal relationships to sign, as you might imagine. Anyhow, the shady at... read more
