The C. G. Jung Educational Center of Houston, Texas, Inc, was founded in 1958 by a group of women who had been studying the works of the Swiss psychiatrist Dr. Carl Gustav Jung. In 1954, Ruth Thacker Fry, after completing three years of study at Jung Institute in Zurich, began lecturing in Houston on Jung's depth psychology.
