My girlfriend and I frequently visit this BWS store to buy alcohol. We have shown our passports many times before (always together), and other staff members have never been this strict. Earlier this evening, we came together but left without buying anything because neither of us had our passports. Very disappointed with my experience at BWS Royal Exchange. Around 7:00 pm, my girlfriend and I were refused service because we didn’t have our IDs with us, which we accepted. About three hours later, I returned alone with my own valid passport. I explained that my girlfriend was not with me, we do not live together, and I was purchasing alcohol for myself.
