Good food good prices
It's near my home, so I usually buy some stuff there. I went a couple of days back to buy milk, butter, and whipped butter. I didn't check the expiry date as I thought it would be fresh. I had breakfast and started having stomach pain within 5 minutes. I checked the butter; it had expired in March 2026, and they were still selling it. I went back, and the guy at customer service said sorry. Please double-check the expiry date when you're buying. Disappointed with the products.
11 months ago I bought two whole chickens from Buy Low Foods Nanaimo. I opened them two days before the best-before date and both were completely rotten and smelled terrible. I called the store right away and spoke with the female meat manager (who still works there). I offered to bring in the chickens in their packaging, or go through my garbage bin for the receipt. There is Zero customer service at this location. Produce can be hit and miss, some of the produce is even rotten. The majority of prices for most products are about the same as any other grocery chain. Even higher prices for certain products. Oh yes, let's not forget the mistakes made on your bill, always in the stores favor.
Do not buy meat from here its injected with water and for some dumb reason contains gluten. Nasty.
