I've been shopping at the Brookswood Buy Low since 2016, and I love it. It's got all the essentials, and 95% of the staff are kind, patient, and helpful, which is better than most places. Further, the staff did well during COVID, which was no one's best time. I'd far rather shop there, my local store, than some massive box store.
When I went in and started shopping someone followed me to see what I was up to and when ringing in my newspaper the cashier pulled it apart to make sure there wasn’t something else in there. I did not feel welcome Guess I shouldn’t wear a trench coat?
I was furious seeing how much Pattison’s wealth increased during the pandemic while everyday people struggled with food costs. Now learning about the reported sale of a Pattison Group property to ICE seals it for me. I won’t support his businesses anymore.
