Hi my name is Breanna i attended this camp in 2016 i believe. I was sent here from Henderson elementary i was nine years old . Day 1 : we get to the church that the bus is picking us up from , We wait and we finally get there . it’s 3 buses one for our things and 2 for us . there are about 60 kids 30 boys 30 girls on each bus we drive for about an hour and a half maybe 2 . I went to this camp when I was 10 years old, for Captain of the Safety Patrol training. I was okay but the mix of kids was weird, the age group was from 10 to 14, which is a huge difference. I did learn that I could compete with teenagers in anything and everything. It was my only camp experience and I often think about it. Come to think of it I never received my certificate for my training. It was a great experience but the one shower and bathroom for the entire camp was interesting to say the least. Absolutely! I hail from Colombia. In 2017, I had the wonderful opportunity to serve as a camp counselor, and in 2018, I was part of the Core Staff. Both experiences were truly amazing. Working with children and collaborating with an international team of counselors allowed me to learn a plethora of new things. The place itself was incredibly beautiful!

Well camp Burt Shurly 10 out of 10 I loved this camp I went 4 different times when I was 10 11 12 and 13 I can’t go now because I’m 16 if you never went to camp or out of your space I recommend you to go to camp it’s so fun you couldn’t bring your phones only because it would distract you from everything in if you’re worried about it being bored think again Pooh cause it’s just like you being around family cracking jokes and playing games in you make a lot of friends it’s zip lining, swimming, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, arch... read more
