We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Burnside (Bungalow 2) as a party of 4 adults and 2 small babies. A beautiful place and really nice experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the region. Just a 10 minute drive from the main Margaret River Town, Burnside Organic Farm is conveniently located and well within reach of the vineyards of the region as well as beaches and caves. Lara is good host and is quick to respond if you need any assitance. The cottages are well equipped and has a cosy fireplace! Early risers can join Lara or Dan for the farm tour to feed their animals and walk the grounds. Lara and family also makes elegant wines with zinfandel and vermentino which are not common to Margs. We had a wonderful visit to Burnside for a wine tasting. We enjoyed the delicious biodynamic wines made here, and especially loved that the wine cellar had a little nook for kids with toys and books to keep them occupied so we as parents could enjoy the tasting! We had made an advanced booking and Lara was so thoughtful about our visit, waiting for us to come before she let the geese out of their holding area so that our toddler could have some fun experiencing this :) We’d definitely come back and perhaps stay next time!
Love every minute of our stay. Was so peaceful and relaxing. The fire place was amazing. Loved feeding the animals and picking our vegetables for dinner. Such a great family experience. And then to top it off with wine tasting onsite with a short walk to our bungalow. Highly recommend and will be returning in the near future.
