I asked John to look into a refinance of my 30 year down to a 15 year. I heard rates were lower and there might be some advantages. He looked over the information and told me if I kept paying the additional I was the last 3 years that there was no significant savings. He gave me an honest assessment and told me the 30 year and paying more gave me flexibility in case anything were to happen with my income.
