they had an ink stamp for my “passport”. it’s a small office. your usual informative brochures. the two employees i interacted with were nice.
I've been so frustrated with the BLM website and maps as a buddy of mine and I have been trying for months to plan a trip. We had absolutely no clue where blm land was, what the rules were as far as fires, camping, shooting etc. They are not transparent and it's very difficult to know what you're doing. If you’re looking for an agency to shut down access to areas via closing existing two tracks then these are your people. I can’t believe the number of barricades and closed signs on the two tracks around the Gunnison area. It’s honestly embarrassing to boast this public land and then close off access.
