Building Kidz was a great experience for us. It was not initially on our radar, but after being notified that our local daycare didn't have space for us, we expanded our search and found this gem. While we weren't sure about whether a larger daycare would work for our kid, it turned out to be a blessing. We had a wonderful experience with Building Kids of Berkeley! I had to be in Berkeley for 2 months for work, and was traveling with my partner and our 8 month old son. Finding affordable, short term childcare in East Bay was indeed a challenge, and we were nervous about enrolling him at a facility that we would not be able to visit in person ahead of time. I thought that Building Kidz of Berkeley was great! My daughter attended for ~2 years and loved it. The staff was attentive, kind, and very patient. Sabrina, the Executive Director was very knowledgeable. The children had many different activities to enjoy (educational and fun) and we continue to be friends with the families that we met there. Building Kidz was a great environment for our son and we felt each and every day the love and care the teachers felt towards our son. We always appreciated how much he seemed at ease with them and how organized the school environment was. The facilities are clean and spacious despite how small the place looks from the outside, we also appreciated the level of safety and protocols that are followed by the staff to ensure the safety of our children. I give this place an enthusiastic two thumbs up!
We had a wonderful experience with Building Kids, where our daughter started in the toddler classroom at 22 months old. We especially loved Sabrina and Hanna and they made such a positive impact on our family. Sabrina is truly a rare kind of teacher. She is incredibly grounded, calm, and genuinely caring.
