Car rental had a full tank when I picked it up and I made a point of stopping to get gas before returning it so it would have a full tank. They charged me almost $20 extra for gas within minutes of dropping the car off. I sent them a photo I took of the gas gage (full). I expect a refund but won't be using this location again. It's located in the bowels of the Marriott Hotel too so a pain to get in and out of.

So 30 minute wait at least to pick up reservation, in our case it was 1 hour 55 minutes. You won't need sunglasses for your wait in line. They only have 2 agents on duty and no mobile capability. Lowered this from 2 stars to 1. Correction 3 hours 5 minutes wait. Hope we don't miss our connection. They require a soft credit check to rent their vehicle. I had a very disappointing experience at the Budget location at 333 Adams St., Brooklyn on 9/21/25. The wait line to pick up a rental car was extremely long, the process was slow and disorganized, and the front desk staff member was rude and unhelpful. To make things worse, when I asked for the restroom key, I was told the key was lost and I couldn’t use the bathroom. This location clearly needs better staffing, organization, and customer service training. Very frustrating experience.

absolutely horrendous experience renting from budget. complete suicide fuel waiting 2+ hours for my rental in a pigeon shit covered garage. completely MISSED the entire meeting that I had booked the rental for. the “guaranteed” pickup time is meaningless. 1 person working the desk. a totally miserable experience all around. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE

Currently waiting in an unmoving, so far 45 minute and likely to be 2 hr+, line to pick up my rental car on a non holiday weekend Saturday morning. What is the point of setting a pick up time and constructing plans around a rental car pickup if you may not get your car till hours after. Absolutely ridiculous to have a SINGLE person working the desk on a Saturday morning.
