Very bad experience picking up a car at this location. The 9am to 5pm hours are inconvenient as it is, but the customer service was the worst part. The person working there went over all the directions quickly and handed me the key. The car turned out to be super dirty with the mats having actual dirt all over them. When I told him he cleaned it and returned. I asked him some follow ups questions and he was extremely rude and disrespectful. Had a reservation with Budget/Avis in Alexandria, VA (N. Asaph St). Received a “looking forward to seeing you—just go to the Fastbreak counter…”message the day before. Arrived 15 minutes before pickup time. Was told they didn’t have any cars and did not expect to have any. Showed them my reservation, and the guy just shrugged and said they’ve been doing business like that for 5 years and he couldn’t tell me the number of times that customers had put their fists through the wall behind him. Horrible costumer service from the young black male at the front desk at Avis/Budget (the same one other people have complained about in the reviews). I’ve never seen such a bad level of service in my life. It was a mix of lying, defying, and not caring. He first tried to tell us we definitely needed an SUV because we had a stroller… we were 2 adults and 1 toddler, 0 bags. That’s clearly a blatant lie to try to upsell us.
