I’ve recently started booking with Budget after Kyte was acquired by Turo (which became too expensive). My first experience a few weeks ago with an early 8:30am pickup went smoothly—no wait, car ready, overall fine. Unfortunately, my second experience at this location was the opposite and has me reconsidering future reservations. Massive queue, huge line to pick up a car. What a mess and understaffed station, never again! Over 2h to pick up the car, what a nightmare!!!
We started a timer when we first got here, it took an hour and a half of waiting in line just to get into the rental area. We have now been waiting 2 hours for our car past our scheduled time. The staff was extremely unfocused, we witnessed man made horrors beyond human imagination. All the technology is from the before times. Beware. We were told by hotel staff (attached to the garage) that this is an everyday issue, so expect the worst.
So 30 minute wait at least to pick up reservation, in our case it was 1 hour 55 minutes. You won't need sunglasses for your wait in line. They only have 2 agents on duty and no mobile capability. Lowered this from 2 stars to 1. Correction 2 hours 20 minutes wait. Hope we don't miss our connection. Perhaps another employee with a tablet to check in customers and complete paperwork certainly could expedite the process.
Believe every bad reviews you see ... wish I had before wasting 2hrs on Sep 5 (and missing an important business meeting) waiting in a line ... one person working on & off, while stepping away to get cell service to call someone to complain about some other employee not pulling his weight. Then finally get a car that's all banged up, dirty throughout and gas not filled as they claim on rental contract. Unfriendly, dishonest, frustrating ...
