Reserved a car for 11:30. Plane landed and I checked on my reservation. They said the car wasn’t ready, but told me it would be ready in ten minutes. It is now 12:30 and I am standing with a toddler at the airport and no car
This place sucks soooo bad. Just recently, October 3, 2025- October 4, 2025 , my birthday weekend, I reserved a SUV. Scheduled to pick up my SUV at 4:30 pm. Got there, and a CLOSED sign on the door WHAT????. My daughter and I were soooo mad, angry . Called customer service , they tried everything to make up for their error but every car rental place was sold OUT. WOW!!! Make this a short story, customer service did refund my money. We experienced the exact same exact issues everyone else has mentioned. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in life.
I have never had such a frustrating rental experience. Ridiculous Wait Times: Even though I did pre-check, I waited over an hour just to sign paperwork and get my car. Every other rental counter had no lines, but Budget was painfully slow. The staff had zero sense of urgency and seemed to be taking their sweet time with every customer. My reservation for a midsize SUV, comparable to a Toyota RAV4, was not treated by Budget as a commitment but as an opening bid in a high-pressure upsell game. Upon arriving at the counter, I was confronted by both the desk clerk and the manager, who worked in tandem to aggressively push every vehicle on the lot except the one I had reserved and paid for.
