I’m leaving this as a one-star review, but if zero were an option, that’s what it would be. Let me be clear-Budget’s appeal is obvious: cheap rentals. But the entire operation feels just as cheap as the price. Outdated systems, outdated processes, and a clear disconnect between local offices and corporate. I had to rent a car because my van went into the shop. I went to Budget car rental who is combined with Avis car rental. The specific place I went to was on North Davis Highway in Pensacola, FL. My initial experience with this rental place was when I called them, I asked them if they had a mini-van available and they told me they did not have any minivans available. Walked in and we had to say hi before anyone spoke to us. Made a reservation online and when I came in they said.. “we didn’t catch it”. So we didn’t get a truck and to be quite honest I don’t think they could have cared less. 🫠
