Filled up the gas on way to airport, on my form it said "Fuel Gauge Reading: Full" after they verified it. Then they still charged an extra 32.24 charge on my MasterCard for fuel (which I had to spend an hour finding an obscure customer service number as this place never answers the phone). Customer service made me whole, but this is disgusting. This smells like fraud, I will never go with budget again. The owners who do this have no ethics, it's awful. Easy in and out experience
Had great experience with Budget/Avis. There was a line up when we got there for our reservation. We were maybe in line for about 30 minutes, as there were only 2 people on the counter. Anyway, that wasn’t a huge deal for us specially when Dereje, one of the guys in the counter was very nice. Dereje was very friendly and accommodating. A+ UNTIL we were seriously overcharged for mileage due to an incorrect odometer reading. After calling, they acknowledged it was near impossible to drive as much as they say we did. But, since I turned down their two take-it-or-leave-it discounts (because Im not a liar or "just looking for a discount"), they got more hostile, and I'm stuck paying $700 for mileage even they initially agreed is ludicrous. But now "after looking at their records" we in fact apparently did drive that much. Which is it Budget? Absolutely bizarre ... read more
