The manager provided a below average customer service experience. She was very short, cut me off while I was speaking several times, rudely yelled if I expressed I couldn’t hear something she said, and more. The nicest thing that she had done was gave me grace on the late fee by adjusting the time…only to find out the time was adjusted incorrectly and the late fee was still taken. Easy process of renting and extending my use of their vehicle.
I pre paid my rental on Thursday, confirmed my reservation and did the pre checking on Friday, went to pick up car Saturday at 9 am and the lady inside rudely tells me "I don't have a car". I told her I had my reservation confirmed and she tells me " I don't have a car, don't know what to tell you. Super unprofessional....Will never rent a car from Budget if this is their norm. Location easy to find with plenty of parking. The lady who helped us (Tundra) was very nice, despite the fact she was quite busy & seemed to be "holding down the fort" by herself. The vehicle we reserved was not in stock so she gave us a free upgrade. The car was nice & clean. This is the 2nd time we've recently had to rent a car while our truck is in the shop. Both times have been Budget locations (Austin & here) & we've had no problems.
