This happened back in July 2024. My friend rented a car, we decided not to take the car after seeing the inside being very filthy. The staff person who managed the rental stepped away, therefore another gentleman said he will handle the cancellation, and that we would not be charged. Not only did my friend get charged but also was indicated that we drove for 2500 miles in a day, LOL. It was surprisingly easy to check on but don't expect the person who sends you your email to talk very much. He was kind enough and absolutely knew what he was doing. I tried to point out blood stains that existed, before I left, but he was genuinely, not interested. I did take pictures, the day I picked up the vehicle. I hope, the Hyundai Sonata I drove around LA, didn't mind if I called it a vehicle and not a car. Perhaps, it would have felt more comfortable, if I called it an Automobile?
The majority of the time I have very good service and cars to rent. However, this time I was assigned a full size car that had quite a few scratches and small dents on the driver and rear of the car.
We have been stranded for over 3 hours now because the key fob stopped working, and the manual key won't open the door either. It is ridiculous to be stranded outside in the cold for that long, and now it is dark. We are late to check in to our hotel and everything will be closed to eat so we didn't have dinner either. I do not recommend Budget.
My flight was scheduled to arrive in burbank at 10:15pm. I booked a car for 10 at night since they make you pick 10 or 11. Flight was delayed and got to the rental counter at 11:10. Not a soul at the counter. Everyone went home at 11. Will never use Budget again. Spent $160 for an Uber thanks them.
