If I could give them zero stars, I would. We made a reservation the evening before pick up and prepaid it in full. We received an email that the reservation was confirmed. Pick up was scheduled for 8 am. As we were about to walk into the lobby to pick up the car, we got a phone call saying that our reservation was last minute and there was no car available! We reserved a car here but when we arrived, the office was closed and no one around to help us. We had to pay $50 to Uber to the next closest Budget location where they up charged us 50% for the same car. I called the customer service line and they refused to reduce any of the charges or cover the Uber cost AND refused to let us return the car at the original location — meaning we had to pay another $50 after returning the car!!!! Never again. Lesson learned - I will never rent from them again.

Yesterday I booked a car from Dedham, MA location at Holiday Inn and prepaid for it online (500usd). I have booked a car many times with budget before and used debit card for deposit many times as I do not even have a credit card. I never had an issue. I went to pick up the car and the woman told me I can't use a debit card. She called her boss and he told me the same. Would give 0/5 stars if possible. Reserved a 6 person van, one hour before pickup, they tell us they only have a Chevy Malibu and made no effort to help us. Literally left us car-less for our family vacation.
