I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Budget Car Rental – Richmond Hill, Ontario was unacceptable and extremely frustrating. I made a same-day booking in the morning with a confirmed pickup time of 2:00 PM. When I arrived, the receptionist informed me that no rental cars were available and instead tried to push a truck rental. We had placed a car for rental for pick up. Only to arrive and was told that it wasn’t ready at all. She shared that it was sent back! It was sent back less than three hours of confirmation time which is ridiculous!! To have the receptionist, tell us that we need to call to hold the vehicle is absurd. Nowhere in the email confirmation states that we need to call in order for the vehicle to be there. This should be written in the email confirmation. Worst car rental company, very unprofessional, I called to get a qoute on a vehicle for the week and asked if they had any specials the agent was rude sound like she was half asleep so I disconnected to speak with a different agent an then he answer an said we don't have any cars today we are sold out, I guess they're a small company who can't handle large amount of business wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I will put "0" star if I can !!! I had a frustrating experience with Budget Car Rental in Richmond Hill and interesting on how they run their business. I returned the car with a full tank and took a photo of the dashboard before leaving. The lady staff claimed the tank was not “really” full and attempted to charge me $10. Only after I showed my photo proving the tank was full did they drop the charge. Without that proof, I would have been charged unfairly. So not understanding and rude. If I could give them zero stars I would. The car got stuck in snow due to bad weather conditions, I left 2 hours early to ensure i return the car in time (it’s 30 minutes away) and when I called to inform him he was rude, and said if I get it any later than 12:30 I would be charged for the entire day. We were just letting him know we were gonna be late due to the weather conditions.
