Shame on Budget and the Manager! they tried running my credit card if a chip in the windshield that was already there on a non washed rental I rented. I even called to let them know about the chip because we never did a walk around inspection of the dirty vehicle 20 minutes after my wife pointed the chip out to me and advised me to call so we don’t get blamed for it, manager called a day after drop off and asked me about the chip in the glass and again advised him yes it was like that when I rented it. The pickup process was pretty easy. The attendant was pleasant. I was fine with the size of the Malibu. Bad things were the smell of weed and the apparent attempt to cover that with a cherry air freshener. Very unpleasant. The car was dirty on the inside and outside . Crumbs everywhere including the handle indented area. On the seats and floor also. Unfortunately I found out driving in a strong rain that the wipers were GARBAGE and the rubber part was torn on the top and bottom of the main driver side wiper.
