I've been renting from Budget for 35 years. This time was mayhem at Santa Barbara Airport. When I walked into the baggage claim area every person from my flight was in the Budget line. I grabbed my bag and got in the end of the line. During my hour in line two people kept coming back from the parking lot, cutting in the front of the line and demanding a different vehicle. Absolutely horrible experience. We called the week prior to confirm that they would be open, as our flight got in at 9:30PM. They said yes they will be open til 10, and they also check the flights to make sure they will be open for people who are renting with them. Lo and behold, we arrive and they are closed. This began what has so far been 2 days of hell. We were told by phone customer service to Lyft an hour away to our hotel, which cost $100.
