Must specifically request a car or they upgrade you to an SUV - customer service line is always "DOWN". I gassed up the SUV before returning it and they charged me $15.99 for fuel in my final mailed receipt. Customer service lines are always down when you try to get them to correct the error! I will not use Budget ever again.
Was 4 hrs late dropping off, tried to call, but only got the corporate help desk and couldn't understand the person. End result was approx $17 in change of reservation fees, and then an extra $20 tax for the extra day for a compact car.
Reserved a cargo van on October 15th. Confirmed would be a cargo van to move, not or similar. Arrived today for my appointment and was offered a 12ft box or a tiny minivan. Both do not suit my needs and was not what was promised. Was given zero solutions aside from someone in Dayton would have it. 3hr drive. Called them and they said no cargo van. Would’ve driven 3hrs for nothing. Absolutely screwed and ruined our moving plans.
Got turned away before my reservation to pick up a vehicle she sent me somewhere else all others turned me away I’ll never rent a car from budget this is my first horrible experience but I bet it will be the last
