I cannot recommend this budget for your needs. I was in Harrisburg last month on a business trip and a snowstorm hit—while the weather itself wasn’t the problem, I couldn’t drive out of the hotel with only 3 inches of snow on the ground because the rental car Budget provided had very low tire tread. The attached photo shows the condition they allowed. Completely unsafe.
So I Pre ordered a rental car for my work business trip about 4-5 days before. It had been some time since I last drove one. And they gave no notice you had to have an actual-physical credit card. Turns out they cannot except a credit card in my apple wallet. I went over to Hertz and they excepted my card no problem. Giving one star for lack of information shared and not letting me know about the credit card and out dated services and wasted time. Don’t waste your time with budget.
I was greated with a smile and explained everything. Was very polite and the SUV was very clean inside and outside. Low miles and still had that new car smell. I highly recommend Budget car rental at the Harrisburg, PA airport!
Reserved a compact car from Budget for a 3-day family visit in central PA thru Costco Travel. Flying from Oregon, we arrived at 12:30 AM at MDT then a 20 min. wait in the counter line. Staff was VERY helpful and upgraded us to a 2024 BMW X3 SUV with 6,500 miles on the ODO... (the most expensive vehicle I've ever driven) at the original compact price. No problems. Easy return.
