Car itself was fine, but the staff member who helped us was extremely rude to my partner. He didn't hear something she said, and asked "what?" in a non-confrontational tone and proceeded to get a lecture from the staff member for "not treating her with respect". I understand asking for respect if a customer is being rude, but that was absolutely not the case here and we won't be going to Budget again as a result of this employee's bizarre behavior. P.S. Firstly, this office should not say 'Airport' when it is clearly an off-site location; it's very misleading and causes immense confusion to customers. When I finally got to the office, I was told by the desk agent that he would update the pick-up time to reflect the 48 hours I paid for. However, when I dropped the car back off, the updated pick-up time was not accounted for, and I was charged a late fee (even though I returned the vehicle well within the 48 hours). Ok but off site pick up and drop off is in a terrible location. Lots of traffic and not easy to get out of the surrounding area to get on highways.
They never closed my rental agreement, car smelled like BO and garbage. Serious disappointment from Budget. 2 calls to customer service attempting to correct. Car was scratched and dented all over as well as dirty. Do Better Budget!!
I’ll never choose Budget or Avis again when flying into Reagan. Most inefficient airport car rental location in America.
