Great rental, got a Ram 1500, it's been through Alaska so don't expect much. It did exactly what we needed and the 4 Wheel drive worked great for what we needed.
The process was very easy and the staff was very nice. Only bar thing was thag the car was dirty (on the outside).
I had a terrible experience with Budget Car Rental. They gave me a car with a broken windshield right from the start, which was both unsafe and unacceptable. On top of that, they charged me an extremely high rental price compared to what was originally shown on Expedia. To make things worse, when I reported the issue, they asked me to exchange the car in Anchorage—forcing me to drive almost 350 miles just to swap vehicles. Horrible customer service!
All car rentals at Fairbanks- the northern most city, are at the lower level from arrivals. Budget is among all other rental companies. I have it 0 star because I had a really bad experience at this car rental. But more importantly, mindset of company employees at counter was not so professional as I'm use to seeing, as I have done this almost all over places.
