Wow big corporate scammers. We were told $50 will be taken off because we waited 1.5 hours for a car that we reservation to be returned and cleaned (no car was available). We also filled the gas full tank right before we returned the car at the closest gas station. Guess what? We were charged $$$$ for gas because they claimed tank was not full. AWFUL!! Rented a Ford Expedition last week, had 88 miles to empty, trash everywhere and smelled like weed. Repeatedly called Budget to make them aware of the gas, told the attendant the situation and showed photos of gas as we took the vehicle. They still charged us $220 for gas and taxes on gas!!!
We flew in on a red eye and were exhausted! We almost decided to uber and then last minute realized we really needed our own car. I booked online while we walked to the rental spot. We got there and there was a little line, but then we met ETHAN! He saved the day. He had some computer trouble but kept everyones spirits up and resolved everything quickly. Last time with Budget. Most expensive than the reservation on Budget web site. No respect for the customer. Lies, hidden fees. They ask for a security deposit, but Budget charges it as insurance so they can refuse to refund it when the vehicle is returned. Thx David ! I hope you're a little happier in life with my money.
Budget overcharged me for fuel, however they were responsive to my complaint and refunded me. For this, I changed my 2-star rating to 4 stars. I suggest they train their staff on the fuel purchase option.
