I own a small business and I needed to rent a vehicle due to my personal vehicle was not big enough to accommodate my customers emergency. I rented from the Roanoke VA Airport location. I put my pickup for 7 am, the vehicle was still not ready, the lady at the counter was rude and the manager was even worse, EXTREMELY disrespectful. 1 Star I had a very disappointing experience with Budget Car Rental at 5202 Aviation Drive NW, Roanoke, VA 24012. I rented a car for just one night, and my final bill was $564.72, which I believe was excessive. When I picked up the car, I was asked to sign on the payment screen, but the screen only showed the signature area. It did not clearly display all the charges I was agreeing to. On 07/13/2026 we reserved a 7-passenger Ford Explorer for our trip on 07/23. On 07/21, we confirmed our reservation with Budget. We went to pick up the SUV on 07/23 only to find out they didn’t have a 7-passenger vehicle available, so we had to take a 5-passenger vehicle, meaning we would have to drive two cars on our trip which was a major inconvenience. When I came to pick up my rental, there was a line with 7 people in front of me. Surprisingly, the line moved very quickly and the woman at the counter—Robin- was cheerful and professional with each interaction. By the time I got to the counter (no joke, 7 minutes), Robin looked up, smiled and helped me get on my way within moments. Thank you to Robin and Budget for a professional and pleasant experience. I will certainly use them again and highly recommend.

Do NOT rent from this location! We reserved a van 3 months in advance showed up to pick it up, on time, and was told they knew the night before there wouldn’t be vehicles available for that day’s reservations. We were told we were 3rd in line to wait for a vehicle and ended up waiting 3 hours for someone to drop off a van.
