My wife picked up a car in St. Louis and has issues, so she brought it to this location to swap it out, as we were instructed to by Budget. Joffrey (?) heard her complaint and asked, "Do you really want me to put someone else in an unsafe car?" then refused to swap it out. Here we are, only 24 hours later and she's stranded in the driveway. We had to call roadside and told them to just take it back and cancel the rest of our reservation. I was disappointed with my recent rental experience. The final rental price was higher than the amount originally quoted at the time of booking, with no clear explanation provided. Additionally, the car I received had a noticeable smoke odor, which made the drive unpleasant. Despite returning the vehicle in the same condition, I was charged a cleaning fee upon drop-off at ORD. Showed up 2 min before close gentleman working was hanging around outside nowhere to be found at the counter then wanted to charge me 30 dollars extra after he came in at 731
They did not give me base price as I was reserved for through Expedia. The lady at the pick up desk gave false information and now I’m stuck paying $77 more than I should have. DO NOT RENT THROUGH BUDGET/AVIS!
