I've been renting with Budget for over 15 years, no matter where I travel, and this is the first time I have ever been charged a $450 cleaning fee. I traveled to North Carolina on an emergency trip after my fiancé was rushed into surgery the day before. We ended up being stuck there for two weeks. I made a reservation on May 13th for a truck rental scheduled for June 18th—more than a month in advance. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was informed that no truck was available. What is the point of making a reservation that far ahead if the company can't honor it? What made the situation even more frustrating was the complete lack of communication.
