In from Galveston, TX. The car itself was great, Volvo UC90. Not great mileage ~23 MPG, but the ride was awesome. Biggest problem and not resolved by Budget after MANY long phone calls. We asked to pre-pay the tank of gas and were told "all set" but once we were on the road and reviewing the contract, we discovered the agent did not give us the pre-paid tank. Again, many phone calls and time lost on the phone, with no resolution. So, now we have to waste time filling up the tank at Boston Logan. Go figure.
I had to travel 20 minutes away from my hotel for P/U as they booked me in error and wouldn't fix their mistake. Dirty car, 1/4 tank of gas, smelled like weed!

SCAM - BE AWARE - SCAM!!!!! I've picked up the car on the morning of 09.07.24 at 09:20am and had a return date for one day later, 09.08.24 I have returned the car the same night (09.07) using the key drop box. To my surprise, when I received the e-receipt, I see a total amount of USD 88.08 and a return date on the 09.08.24 at 04:00PM. Even a bigger surprise was to see that I was billed in my credit card a total of USD 300.58!!! I contacted Budget and I just got an answer. Worst car rental experience ever, very dishonest company. The car was very dirty, the tank was not full and the smell was so bad we had to keep the windo ws opened during the trip. Then after returning the car they charged you additional fees equivalent to 10x the initial price without explanation and you have to fight to get your money back. BIG SCAM STAY AWAY !!!!!!
