I recently rented a vehicle from Budget Rental in Kansas City, and overall, my experience was a strong one with a few areas that could definitely be improved. I rented a car through Costco and they guarantee free cancellations. I reserved a car and when I went to pick it up, it hadnt been returned yet so they offered another car and I said I would try it ( they said if it didn’t work I could cancel. Then 2 months later when I was going through my credit card bills ( had cancer surgery so reviewing my CC bills was delayed) and saw a $72 charge. Reserved my car with pre paid gas. Your sales associate forgot to ask the question when signing the contract (not sure why that would matter since it’s on my reservation). Return the car a day early and you charge me to fill the tank at $9.89 a gallon/$93.96 total (which is outrageous) and when I prove to you that it was on my reservation instead of offering to honor the reduced price you say “you can open my ticket back up and I can go fill it up.” This was your mistake. You should have honored the reduced price.
