I wish I had the managers name, he was so pleasant when I rented the car! Today I stopped by to extend the reservation and was helped by Maddie. There was a problem with my card pending charges, for some reason I couldn’t pay the card off 🤷♀️because charges were “pending”…. Maddie solved the problem with: finesse, kindness and professionalism! I see there are bad reviews… give Budget on Magnolia another chance; perhaps they were under bad management in the past! This was the worst rental experience ever. Started out by renting a 12' box truck for my move. When I arrived at the counter I was told that my reservation was for a van. The reservation changed without notifying me, and when I expressed my concern to the counter associate, she did not apologize or anything. Just told me I can take it or leave it. I had made a reservation the day before my travel date. They "called" and left me message saying that they had to cancel my reservation the morning of my travel day because it was less than their 24hr reservation policy. I contacted their customer support. They said they would help and gave me another reservation. Do not waste your time here. Rude. Dismissive. Incapable of even the most simple of tasks. If you’re wondering what it’s like, imagine the worst experience and service possible- you’ll be somewhere in the ballpark of what they provide.
Do NOT waste your time and energy trying to get a rental from Budget in Fort Collins. Despite us having made a reservation four weeks in advance, they didn’t have a truck for us. Not only did they not have a vehicle, they said it was our responsibility to call the 1-800 number to find a truck at another location. Even after attempting that, Budget had no 12 or 16 foot trucks within 100 miles! UsePenske instead!!
