I rented a car from this location to drive to NYC. I had a smooth pick-up at this location. BUT they hadn't had a chance to vacuum the car before I picked it up, so the representative (man in Avis shirt) said I would get free gas and not need to refill it before returning it. He specifically told me he would note this in my reservation, so they wouldn't charge me at drop-off. Read and believe the other reviews here! Gave us a dirty car with a cracked windshield. Tried to charge us for the windshield when we returned. We've trusted Budget at other airports but never at BTV again. Go with literally any other rental company.
The computers were down, they gave me a dirty car with no gas and told me they’d waive the gas fee upon return. A day after I dropped the car I got a bill for $150 in gas, despite leaving the tank fuller than when I picked it up. Called customer service and they weren’t helpful, they told me someone would reach out, but it’s been 2 weeks and I’ve heard from no one. The worst service, makes me lose my faith completely in this company.
Great experience with the vehicle. Check in was waaaaayyyy too long. We had a reservation but it still took an hour standing in front of the counter while the clerk found us. Then we had to return to the desk because the ordered car seat was not in the vehicle. Check in was quick and easy. Car was very clean and held all 6 of us as promised.
When I picked up my car rental, they told me that the car hadn’t been cleaned so they would waive any gas charge. So I didn’t fill up the tank. Only the following week when I checked my bill after dropping off the car did I see that I got charged $60+ for like 4 gallons of gas! I have called Budget customer service but because the people at the pickup desk didn’t write anything down on my rental agreement, they can’t do anything for me.
