The first car we were given reeked of cigarettes and was dirty. When I went to swap it out the employee told me “someone else said that it smelled like cigarettes but he didn’t think it did”. If someone else is telling you this why do you think it’s acceptable to give someone this vehicle? This placed was dirty, smelled like marijuana no one was there when I first walked in for the first seven minutes and they need to say this is independently owned franchise of budget because I rent from budget all of the time and they required us to have a paystub and business card in order to get the discounted rate that we always use which changed the price from 200 to 400. If you are considering renting from Budget/Avis, reconsider right now. Read the reviews. These aren't just a few unhappy people, this is a pattern of behavior by this company that is consistent. We rented a vehicle for two weeks while looking for a replacement for our recently totaled vehicle. When we picked it up, one person was working. They did not do an inspection but helpfully told us to TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES. Don't ignore this, because it will cost you money otherwise.
