The line was a little over 2 hours, and they did not have the size car we reserved fine, its busy. But my husband had to pay and extra 100 and upgrade to get a car we didnt need for 2 people anyways, or he was asked to wait longer to have one ready...This was from 5:18pm and he was finally in the car by 7:40pm.m on a Saturday. I think this is important information so people can make time to wait.
We booked a Tesla over a week in advance for a birthday trip and headed straight to Budget after landing in Houston. Upon arrival, we were met with rude and unhelpful staff. We were told the car we reserved wasn’t available and received little to no support when asking about accommodations or rebooking alternatives. After deciding to cancel altogether and go elsewhere, we simply asked how our driver could pick us up — and that’s when the situation went from bad to worse. This company is a scam. Rented a car for two days in Houston that smelled bad when we got it. Told the agent on the way out and got charged $450 “cleaning fee” because of the smell that I didn’t cause. Customer service is no help. Will never rent from budget again.
