Renting a car for Route 66 trip then had issue with tire in Flagstaff. Spoke with Brook at the Flagstaff airport who worked her best to find replacement car to get us on our way. None was available she took our number to secure one as cars were returned later in the day. Once we returned she found an excellent replacement which made our day. Worst experience I've ever had with a car rental. Picked up the car taking the family vacation to drive one way from bullhead City to La my daughter has autoimmune issues as well as my wife they're both having asthma attacks because this car smells like cats have been living in it for years. Can't turn the heat on because the smell is so embedded in the car. We will never rent from budget again this is disgusting. Surprising it's a newer car don't be full just skip budget. Easy to rent and Easy to return.
I got scammed by this location! I rented a car for one day. 11/20/25-11/21/25. I returned the car within the 24-hour period. When we returned our car, the girl at the front desk, I believe her name was Drea, was helping someone else. She looked at us and asked if we were returning our car? and we said "yes". She said I'll take the keys. I said "is that all there is" she said yes! Apparently she did not check our car in at the time. It was done at her convenience after she waited on her customers.
