Please avoid renting from this location. They don’t accept out of state license that is against Budget/Avis policy. The lady at the reception is very rude and not helpful.
DO NOT BOOK IN BARSTOW. THEY ONLY HAVE LARGE SUV's NO MATTER WHAT YOU BOOK. AND IT'S MESSED UP THAT ALL THESE GREAT ARE ONLINE, BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY VEHICLES IN THEIR INVENTORY. AND YOU BETTER CANCEL QUICKLY OR YOU MAY BE CHARGED EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE NO CARS. YOUR BEST BET IS A NEIGHBORING TOWN LIKE VICTORVILLE WHERE IT'S MORE POPULATED AND THEY HAVE LARGER LOTS AND INVENTORY.
I do not recommend renting a car from here.I made a reservation online and got to the budget just to be told that the car I had reserved was not available. I was charged an extra $100 for an upgraded vehicle because there were no other cheaper options available. I was also told that I had to do a credit check before being allowed to rent the vehicle even though I had pre-checked online. Definitely do not recommend renting from here. This very unfortunate because this is one of the few places in Barstow to rent a vehicle
Never renting from Budget ever again. Charged me $125 a full 2 weeks after renting a vehicle for "excessive dirt" in the interior. Did not notify during the inspection when I checked the car in. Instead, just charged my card for what the pictures show is little more than a little dirt/sand that you would normally bring into a car with your shoes. Garbage company.
Be aware of the little charges, my suggestion is check in between the seats and everywhere else because they will charge you for crumbs!!!!!!!!!!! other than that didn't really have a problem.but I do feel like charging somebody an extra $10 for crumbs being as though you were going to have to vacuum the car anyway is ridiculous! On top of that I tipped them three boxes of girl scout cookies which was what $18..people are a trip💜
